This was our 2018 raffle quilt made from the winning blocks of last year's "Raining cats and dogs" block challenge.
At each monthly meeting, there are always neonatal quilts displayed in our Show & Tell Section. These are donated to our local hospital and are a wonderful ongoing way to support our club in donating to our community.
Quilts need to measure 18"-20" and may be made to suit boys, girls or unisex. Easter or Christmas themed quilts can be good for parents whose children happens to be born on a holiday.
Cotton fabrics are best and polyester or poly cotton battings inside are fine.
Please NO wool batting or Polar fleece backs.

I'm a Textile Artist, Photographer, Author, Illustrator, Wife and Mother to 13 bambinos.I travel the world teaching Textile Art and Photography. Its one of the best jobs in the world really.Artists are inventors, shaping the new from the already established. Some of my ideas about quilts come to me through the whisperings of ancestors and unknown/unseen muses. Other inspiration comes from nature, my photography, my experiences in travel and the light in my expression as I see the world as a very special place.

Whilst in Palmerston North we are lucky enough to be having a class which will initially be open to members of the 5 clubs who were part of QSM2015 – Rose City Quilters, Rangitikei Country Quilters, Town and Country Quilters, Foxy Quilters and Cotton On Quilters. If there are still spaces left then it will be opened up to anyone. If there are too many wanting to participate then a ballot will be done to fill the class.

“Inspired to Stitch – Image and Line Drawing”
Use an image from your camera : capture and learn to convert it to a line drawing. The image is subtle, and it’s a balance of the delicacy of the thread and palette.
Pam will teach you creative thread sketching, learn how to use your computer to prepare the image, talk about basic art techniques and learn the art of contour quilting. You may not complete the quilting in one day. Below are some examples :
