Our guest speaker this year is Dale Rollerson. See Dale's blog HERE and her mail order business Thread Studio HERE. Dale is a textile artist living in Australia (originally from NZ). She is passionate about all areas of textile art and tries to be as cutting edge as she can.

Club challenges (open to financial members) for you to view this year are "2 Colour Challenge" and "Modern Quilts". Club challenges are to be handed in by 5pm Thursday 1st May 2014 to Village Books & Crafts or the Cloth Shop or Angels in Gumboots (all links and addresses above). Entry forms can also be collected from any of these shops.

If you are a ticket holder, hopefully you have also been making a block for our raffle quilt challenge to hand in on the day.

Saturday Stitchin' - Sewing Bee / Get Together

Saturday Stitchin' is this Saturday 19th April
Every 3rd Saturday of the month at the Awapuni Community Hall in Newbury St from 9.30am – 4.00pm several Rose City Quilters members have been meeting for a day of sewing, chatting, eating and drinking. This is a great day to bring UFO’s and to pick up tips on binding, borders, colours and so on. The hall has heaps of light and plenty of tables to spread out on. There’s also a table tennis table, which is ideal for basting large quilts.  You need to bring a cup/mug, your lunch and $2.00.  If you want to join any Saturday Stitchin’ please contact Robin Huxtable, phone 358 5117 or just turn up.
